in 1991, Now in its 17th year, Auburn's Black & White Ball boasts a reputation for its larger-than-life atmosphere much as you'd expect to find at such magical spots as Disneyland ™ Featuring magical decorations, fantastic entertainment and an ambiance unequalled in any auditorium, the party under the stars is "the place to be" every third Saturday in August. 4 venues will provide non-stop options for you all night long, and there will be food courts and beverage stations throughout the Ball - all located on the city streets of Downtown Auburn! of For the first time ever, Auburn's Black & White Ball will feature a country stage - and we're going all out this year by bringing you a country rock supergroup that has sold 7 million albums - Little Texas will be rockin' the house with 2 shows!!! You won't want to miss this. With hits including "God Blessed Texas", "Kick A Little", "Amy's Back In Austin", and "What Might Have Been", this is not your grandma's country music - this is "kickin' country music"... Music will play simultaneously on all stages throughout the night, so be sure to bring plenty of resuscitation equipment! IN past years we've brought you "The Cotton Club", or "The Casino Royale" - a place to sit and relax, enjoy top-shelf liquors and premium wines and beers, desserts and coffee. This year it will be located on upper Lincoln Way, and will be "The Silver Screen Lounge", where silent movies will be playing on a giant wide screen right there on the street.
